Carla Jervey formerly known as Carla Rowser Canty is the author of several self-published works.  Her first book of poetry and form of self-discovery, “It Ain’t Easy Being Me,” was her first published work.  Readers of her first publication and witnesses of her live poetry readings craved more, which led to penning her first novel, “Diary of a Blackgurl, Not all Secrets are meant to be kept.” Her third book, a book of poetry “Just Being Me,” written to solidify her comfort level and self-discovery in accepting herself, as God would have her too.

Carla has been a radio personality, TV producer and host.  She loves the literary world but by day works in the legal field.  She is the mother of two beautiful daughters from her first marriage, the grandmother of one very handsome boy and the happy wife of Nathaniel Jervey, the co-author of her fourth book “Happy Takes Time.” Carla is an open book herself and leads several motivational pages and groups on social media.

Nathaniel Jervey is a first time author and very happy to be along for the ride. He is the motivation behind “Happy Takes Time.”  The book would not be complete if he did not partake.   Happy Wife, Happy Life or in his words “The sanity of a man in marriage is always healthy when his woman is happy.”
